There's definitely still guesswork involved after the first pick
Ironically, the "easier" the terminal is, the more likely you can find words that should be the password according to all the clues you've received, but aren't because they just happen to share the right letters

i remember being really good at hacking in fallout 3 but i guess that's cus i started with 10 intelligence cus im playing a low intelligence char now and god damn even easy terminals take me like 10 minutes
meanwhile lockpicking is a breeze. i perfected that stuff in skyrim

yeah I understand, I actually did the minigames while a lot of people i know just guess. I still find them boring enough to remove.
