Contraptions is a little bit crappy.
Conveyors and Ball-tubes are probably quite interesting and can be used in a decent way, but I've not had a chance to play with them properly yet.
Elevators are absolutely stuffty however. They don't snap to floors (but floors snap to them???), and each 'floor' on the elevator is taller than a standard floor. Meaning if you already have a towering building, you can't attach an elevator to it and have the elevator come to all the floors, as each subsequent elevator floor will be higher than the buildings floors.
I have no loving idea how this oversight was made, because it makes elevators completely useless.
If there's any way to even get them to work with a building properly it will require you to build it around the elevator.
Conveyors can be quite interesting, especially with the full range of tracks and hoppers, and machines you can use to create ammo/weapons/armour.
The new warehouse building set is basically a reskin of Far Harbor's Barnyard set, with near identical pieces. However, it's generally more attractive than the Barnyard, and doesn't have the issue of one side always being red/white. Plus, there are a lot of new glass windows and skylights, which have complete glass panes!
Maybe some people will get a lot out of this DLC, but I think it's surprisingly limited, and has several terrible oversights in how some things are used.
In my opinion, it's probably the weakest DLC so far.
New York was nuked, iirc. There ain't no buildings left.
Yeah, New York and I think Philadelphia took direct hits. By rights they should mostly be in the condition that the Glowing Sea is in, as that also took a direct hit.
