So uh,

I had in planning a space nation rp, there are 52 ish systems with their own celestial bodies, and 'economic points' which is a measure of each body's economic value.

Would that all be too much to calculate for an RP? The players wouldn't be calculating it, but I'd have it in place as an asspull protection measure that I would use on my end, and I'd issue reports of players' economies using the Economic point metric. Players could use it to gauge the worth of a planet or system as well.

yeah but what if im a galactic conman spaceship and i tell some naive dumbass that this one sandy planet is really good for mining and is worth a lot of those eco-points or whatever only for them to discover that the ore was too brittle and they had to leave giant monolithic vehicles where a race of small hooded dwarves repurposed them as mobile homes?

iunno. total war just ensures a kinda wonky border system. historically larger nations would have smaller borders, ect.

you don't know when to take a chill pill. know that "underwater caves" hardly exist in deserts (if at all). you tried to find them, but it would be impossible to do without modern technology.
