I've become fond of DownThemAll for Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/downthemall/

Not sure about the accelerated download speeds, but i do like seeing more detailed info on the download progress, and having the 'DTA One-Click' set up, it will just immediately download the file to a directory of your choice and open up the DownThemAll window so you can see progress of your download(s), and it will play a sound when it's done downloading stuff

For Chrome, i have RSS Feed Reader, which is like subscribing to RSS feeds in Firefox, except instead of the feeds being bookmarks that update, it has it's own menu where the feeds are stored, and you can click the checkmark next to new feeds to mark them as read

Also, if you watch streams on Twitch, i recommend Better TwitchTV, which lets you change Twitch to a dark theme that's easier on the eyes and makes chat messages easier to read, it can separate messages from each other, you have the choice to use Twitch's emotes, or the JustinTV monkey emotes (which i personally never liked), you can have a select bunch of emotes put into your favorites so you have easy access to them rather than looking through that long list of emoticons for them, there's also custom Twitch emotes that are exclusive to Better TwitchTV that only users of this extension can see, and it has many other options to toy with to make Twitch suit your needs!

So basically, why WOULDN'T you get this?

I've been looking for something like this :V

AoA audio extractor: http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm

extracts audio from videos and can convert music filetypes to other music filetypes

what about browser extensions?
might as well list a few i like for chrome

Ghostery: See which websites/companies/aliens are tracking your browsing and block them (basically a tinfoil hat adblocker)

Personal Blocklist: Block domains you don't like from showing up in google results

Great Suspender: Unloads/suspend unused tabs to reduce ram usage

uBlock Origin: Adblock that doesn't suck/use as much memory/sell your info (make sure to get origin, the other one was bought by some company i think)

Video Blocker: Block any channel on youtube, and videos from that channel never show up again
recommended: search for a cancerous channel or something (eg. buzzfeed) then go through the first few pages and block everything
i did this with 'minecraft' and suddenly youtube was enjoyable again

Always clear downloads: automatically closes that download tab at the bottom

putty is a SSH client
basically to remote into a (normally) Linux server
looks and functions a lot like cmd

Anyone got any free, useful video editors they know?
