A clique is usually an inclusive group of people with shared qualities or interests, most commonly on the internet cliques are formed around fandoms. If there was a group of people who hung out together because they all liked homestuck, and didn't talk to anyone else based on whether or not they were into homestuck, that would be a clique. |

Some words will have many varying definitions, I believe the commonly accepted definition of a clique is what I described. A "clique" seems like it would be a more exclusive group with a shared interest between all group members. Some of the skype groups in have pretty much no shared interests except a couple people being huge weebs (LOOKIN AT YOU NAL...) |
| Mr.Noßody:
A clique in terms of these forums is basically a group of people who, if any one person gets mad at/in trouble with somebody else, the entire group comes to back them up. People viewing this outside the clique will normally back the majority. It's a form of multi-man puppeteering. Also see "circle jerking" |
