Author Topic: How do I take the white out of my avatar?  (Read 784 times)

Yeah so this is the toolkit my comp gives me. Can anyone tell me what tools to use to get rid of that background white?

The eraser only gets out like shreds of it; using it is like using a pencil and is very frustrating to use

The best the fill can thing can do is...well....change it to white :P (which is what I DONT want)

To be more clear, what I want is to have no color or anything to exist on the part that the white is; I see some of you with avatars that have nothing in the background therefore not having that square shape.

pretty sure the eraser is setting it to white if you're using paint
paint doesn't actually handle transparency, only transparency in regards to your background color that you have selected (which is useful for pasting images on top of eachother)

you're going to need a program that can actually save in the correct format, you could try paint.net, gimp, or photoshop or other things
