i can see a huge difference between 30fps and 60fps. i don't know how people can claim that there's no difference, unless they're just butthurt that their pc/console is too stuff to go past 30fps

I strongly prefer 60, but I don't mind 30 if I have to use it.
FPS caps that low feel like a lazy way to hide optimization issues, it should just be capped at the refresh rate of the monitor(s) the game is running on.

I prefer 60 FPS, but if it's a decision between inconsistent 30-60 or a solid 40-45, I'd choose the 40-45 every time.

yes if you get something that looks jittery, slow and distracting to you then it's gonna badly affect your way to play the game

I play bl on my laptop and pc, on pc I get 90 fps, on laptop I get a little over 30

My old computers specs:
1.6ghz single core CPU
512mb ram
Integrated intel GPU
Windows XP

Couldn't even run HL1 at lowest settings with a framerate above 10-15fps. Could hardly even run the operating system on its own
