He's totally right about it being unrealistic. I mean, it's fiction. It's about as unreal as it gets.
But tell him I said that judging a game based on how "realistic" it is a sign of clinical mental handicapation. He should get himself checked. Unless its supposed to be realistic like a simulator or something like that, it's just unreasonable to put a game down for not being "real" enough for you.

Pretty sure we all know what a personal opinion is, his is just one of the stupidest I've ever had the misfortune to see, and he can't even create an argument to support his side. Having an opinion doesn't make you immune to criticism.

Maybe he should try to elaborate as to why he thinks he's right and everyone is wrong. You know, exercise that brain he allegedly has. If he can't come up with a rational way to explain why unrealistic games are inherently bad (he can't, by the way) then maybe he needs to rethink his precious opinion.
Furthermore, what video games are realistic in his eyes? Barring actual simulators, everything is unrealistic to a degree.

Realism? Not every game has to be Arma, authenticity is nice. Holy hell though, he called Call of Duty 2 realistic? You know, cause everyone can duck behind a wall and wait for the bleedy screen to go away in real life, am I right?

I'd really like a good realistic tactical WW2 FPS though. The last ones we got (by various accounts) were RO: Ostfront or BiA: HH, and both of those are dead games (plus HH wasn't really that good.)
