Hadrian presses a push to talk button.
"Geier here,"
[HQ]: Good, looks like your radio wasn't destroyed in the drop. Excellent. I am Major Owens of 2nd Company. I'll be in charge of your platoon for this operation. Now listen carefully as this may be one of the few times I break the fourth wall.
some stuff pops up on your hud[MAJ. Owens]: Alright so they don't run this stuff to you guys in the academy very well so I'll this to you guys real fast.
A map thing pops up on your hud
We are able to monitor movements via GPS. That Blue Number or HQ marker is your squad indicator. As Platoon and squad leaders you are allowed to move freely to each hex. You are allowed to move anywhere within four hexes. Unfortunately anything more than that will lag our system and cause hell for the technicians, so you aren't allowed to move more than four. It should also be noted that for each Elevation level(
EL) you move up you will lose an extra movement point. So don't go climbing up anything unless you have to.
[MAJ. Owen]: You can spot targets up to 2 kilometers, which means anything within two hexes will be spotted by your squad or by another squad. Note the highlighted green hexes for reference. You can deploy a recon drone within 4 hexes and will stay there until two turns until it's battery dies.

Another thing to note is that the terrain can block a squad's line of sight as indicated by squad 1 who will be unable to see through hexes J6, G6, and H6 no matter how close they are. Note the red hexes for reference. It should also be noted that when you are on an elevated hex you gain an additional hex to see allowing for you to have a much better view of the battle.
[MAJ. Owen]: Your squad and squadmates can only attack enemy squads that adjacent to your hex as indicated by the HQ squad. However if your team has a Bazooka man you can have him or her shoot at targets that are two hexes away.

Your teams information can be access by you and other members of your squad and will presented like this:
