probably just a nose bleed, i remember waking up once, and my pillow was completely covered in blood because it would appear my nose was bleeding for some time through the night, and i never woke up during it, i was pretty freaked out because there was no indication of it having come from anywhere, until maybe 20-30 minutes later when my nose started bleeding after that. Boy was that a wild ride.
