Author Topic: Issues with applying ROM hacks  (Read 705 times)

I found a ROM hack for my copy of Super Mario World that I wanted to try out, but much to my dismay, I can't get it to work. I have followed instructions I found on a another site, and used LunarIPS to patch the ROM, but both ZSNES and SNES9x load a black screen with text reading "SPC700 STALL DETECTED". I have also tried renaming the hack's filename to the same one as the ROM and then running the ROM in ZSNES, but instead I get nothing more than a black screen.
Also note that I checked the ROM's header with NSRT, which is the same as the header required for the hack to work.

Any help?

I'm not really sure. I'd love to do a SMW romhack eventually, though. Like Mario Maker on steroids.

Bump. I need answers, people!
