Author Topic: How many people are playing the game ?  (Read 1050 times)

I played the beta version of block land probably about 3-4 years ago and thought it was a pretty cool game and over time just kinda forgot about it untill the other night for some reason it just popped into my head. So I headed over to the site and downloaded the demo and to my amazement seen how far the game has come but I was also disapointed to find out that you can't play the demo online.
So I'm thinking about buying the retail version but what I want to know is how many people are playing the game ? About how many servers are usally up when you go to play online ?

There's a total of over 3000 people playing. There are about 80-100 players on weekdays and 100-150 on weekends.

Enough people to play when ever.

Less than 3.000 bought the game more like 1,000 - 2,000.

Yep.

Which is exactly why we are seeing IDs in the 3,000s, right Minion?
Around 2,000.

It's almost over THREE THOUSAAAAAND!  :cookieMonster:
Seriously, buy the game. You won't regret your deed. :D

Probably less than 3000, since ID's 2000-2999 were sold separately and probably didn't sell out.

I have assembled a few graphs of the player and server numbers using a script, courtesy of Randy. Besides being interesting, these should help you figure out why no one is ever on, if you happen to be one of those people who live in strange timezone.

Average number of players: 46.4905660377358
Average number of servers: 16.2264150943396
Number of entries: 53
Logging time: Over a 26 hour period, starting December 10, with two entries taken per hour.

From Badspot's LAMLRadio interview, I think he said between 2000 and 2500.
