I haven't tried a PS4, but I know the PS controllers are generally poopoo. I'd recommend an Xbone based on my experience ad ownership, but I couldn't compare them since I don't know the PS4.

There's probably PS4 controllers with the (superior) Xbox layout.

This is speaking from experience, having played a PS3. The controllers have changed very little. The Xbox controllers sans the original have always been great.

You can get devices that also make controllers of both consoles work on either console.

Wii U and PC
But if I have to pick from the poll, PS4 I suppose.

The PS4 controller is great and imo is on par with the 360 controller. MS messed up the shape a bit on the One controller and it makes the controller less comfortable to hold compared to the 360 controller. Not like it matters anyway, there's controllers for the PS4 out there that have the same shape and layout as the Xbox One controller.

Aside from the idiotic white and black button layout on the original controller yeah.

Cause it's a design that's been tested since the first Dualshock controller released on the PS1, and it was phenomenal. This is speaking from experience, having played the PS1, PS2, and PS3, that having the gamepad and left thumbstick in the PlayStation configuration is way better than the Xbox configuration.

Anyways, just get a good PC. If you have to choose a console though, just get a PS4.
