Entirely speculative, but maybe 'they' don't have a grasp on their strength, and use a disproportianate amount for what they're doing.

Most humans are fairly strong.

Gotta put points in strength for it.
Handicapped took points from intelligence and spent them in strength.

My guess is they are as strong as us but don't have anything warning them that they are over-exerting

you usually use 1/3 of your muscle power (except in life or death situations)

mainly because if you went farther you'd be damaging your muscles, like tearing your muscles off from your bones (which doesn't matter in life or death situations)


....or something like that, correct me if i am wrong
