A transplant/partial liver removal most likely won't save him. For those that aren't aware, he originally had bowel cancer, and had it treated 4-5 months ago. The liver cancer was found in one of his follow up tests. This means one of two things. The liver cancer developed separately from the bowel cancer and the two are completely unrelated (extremely unlikely) or the cancerous cells are hematological in origin, meaning cancer got into his blood and landed in the liver. This means there could be other cancerous cells in the body that haven't been detected yet.
In other words, his only chance of survival is to live long enough for a cure to be found.
