I went on his DM with "classes". He put literally no effort into the server, as he pretty much used a default build and other stupid stuff. When I said out loud that the host didn't put effort into the server, this happened:

While I would expect for a host to listen to criticism, this guy just perma's me.

There is in fact a difference between saying someone put in no effort and constructively criticising someone.
It's rude to just proclaim someones server is bad, even if it is.

Manners go a long way in making people act pleasantly towards you. It's not a surprise you were banned.
