Circumcision takes place at least weeks after birth.
didn't know that

What?
The baby doesn't need to clear its lungs of amniotic fluid when it is being circumcised.

Besides crying at birth there is no medical benefit to screaming and crying. That's absurd.
Yes it does. It passes from being supplied by the mother inside a placenta full of liquid to the open air. If it cannot breathe, it will die within a few minutes. Crying and pouting clears its respiratory system and forces the baby to breathe.

ITT: Muh foreskin :((((

you're supposedly female, right?
how would you like if you had your genitals mutilated without your consent at birth?

you will never have to deal with something like that and now you're telling us to get over it?

forget off

That's why I said besides at birth. That's the only time that crying is a good sign.

What I don't get is that there are a lot of people who are pro-circumcision, yet anti-fgm.

I could've sworn that circumcision was done at birth when the umbilical was cut.

According to my mom I was pretty much pronounced dead after not breathing for a long time (10-15 minutes apparently) how I escaped without huge damage I don't know. I was told that the nurse walked in and started crying, a little after that I apparently started breathing.

You're the one making assumptions haha, I've had both genitalia (former hermaphrodite now) and i've experienced the best of both worlds. Your foreskin means jack stuff the moment its gone, stop acting like you're traumatized. Its funny to see how circumcision is the only other subject on this forum besides religion to get a lot of people worked up. Life without it is hardly different than life with it.

so tay can forget and get forgeted

o forget

Could, hince 'former hermaphrodite'

this
also, so what? The baby is still in inconceivable pain for the duration of the operation.
why does it matter if you don't remember it

You gotta feel dark and repressed somehow.  :cookieMonster:

why does it matter if you don't remember it
This is why I beat my dog, because he can never remember it a week later.

nonnel seems like the kind of guy who'd knock a kid unconscious because hey, the kid won't remember anything

Longterm, circumcision does have effects. The glans is the most sensitive part on the intact snake. The foreskin protects it from outside elements and has a slight lubricating property to it that keeps it moist. The sensitivity in cut snakees goes away after years and years of exposure, resulting in the keratinization of the glans, losing sensitivity. Along with that, the foreskin helps with entry, making it easier to do so, and less painful for the woman.

also, were you circumcised at birth or was it later in life?

I'm sure you've had to attend many psychotherapy sessions to cope with it. I'm so sorry you remembered your circumcision.
