It's a documentary, not a news source or article or something actually saying it's relevant today.
You can make documentaries of any kind about anything, but that does not magically mean the certain subject is actually relevant in today's society and media.
Before you start saying something from 90 years ago is relevant, get some actual examples other than a random documentary

Tulsa race riots: started because of an alleged claim, the same type of stuff that killed emmett till. 6,000 black residents, most of which weren't doing anything, were arrested after the riot happened, with almost no whites arrested, despite the fact that the whites started the race riot.
Modern day: black people are disproportionately suspected of crimes, with almost 30% of crimes having black people held responsible or charged. i've made this same argument before that minorities are investigated more often than white people, which means they're being overrepresented. if you are charged with a felony, wrongly convicted or otherwise, you are no longer allowed to vote. This is disenfranchisement that 13 talks about.'
both are loving racially motivated to some certain extent, which is why they're both relevant. just because something happens 100 years ago doesn't mean it has nothing to do with what's happening now. The holocaust happened 60 years ago and its still relevant because various neo-national socialist and anti-semetic groups still exist and are vocal
