what is "index.num" supposed to be, in the first place? you never define that

Not sure about the rest of your code, but you'll probably want to change
--- Code: ---for index.num in range(len(numbers)):
total = sum(numbers)
--- End code ---
into
--- Code: ---total = 0
for item in numbers:
total += item
--- End code ---
And you'll probably want to return total somewhere.
