Blockchip you'd probably make a good member for Team QI.

Lordy Lord made this for my castle way back in 2010. It didn't fit with the theme quite right so I'm probably going to turn it into a church.

That's someone who isn't in QI saying that they want to do something. They're probably not actually going to do it and, again, they're not in QI.

I have been accepted in to QI, and I was planning on constructing these things anyway.

Also this:"I'm doing similar things myself, only I create technical sketches of what I want to build beforehand so that I have a blueprint for structures. I'm going to create colossal modter structures, several magnitudes larger than I have attempted before, so having technical sketches to track your progress is essential for precision, especially when every 1cm square on the page is designated as a 64x64 cube.  Creating the structure with layers using multiple sheets of paper can be very helpful, and making vertical diagrams to give the maximum height of each layer also helps.  It requires a lot of work before the actual building stage, but by then you're mostly copy-and-pasting from a reel of paper into the digital world, (though trouble-shooting becomes an issue now and again, but those things are easy to solve with modter) and I find myself able to create much larger structures with higher efficiency since using blueprints.

In order to make sketches, however, you must find out what components you want to construct ere the structure.  This requires deep research on the components you wish to add, and this also leads you to find components which you never thought existed before.  This helps you to understand what you want to build and how to go about building it, as well as figuring out what it will look like when you understand how each individual component works (Steel mill, concrete production facility, research facility, laboratory, main computer core, etc.)"

I don't know how you plan on doing it to "spite me." Not doing it would actually be to spite me because I've stated many times how I want to see more and more people to create modter maps.

C-zech If you weren't acting like this I would have shared my research notes because when I was designing interior maps from Torque Constructor I actually learned how to mimic real life scale. I know how many blockland bricks it would take to cover a square floor of a real life sized house and I know how to build it.

My modter toystore is a perfect 1:1 scale of a small sized store.

My closet interior map is a perfect 1:1 scale of my actual closet.

I can make sure it's not too big or too small. Also when designing these big structures you have to make sure they aren't big enough that they no longer fit in the visible maxed out zone because then fog will ruin the immersion of your build.

put a bell in the steeple
bells make everything better

Is there a way for me to make a bell ring echo for at least a 64x area?

yea, i put like 15 orchhith (assuming you're only using default sounds) on a block and it echoes insanely far, around a 64x and a half distance away from the bell
getting it to ring twice with about a 4 second wait in between each ring makes it sound about as close to a bell as you can get with only default

Wow rochhith plays for over 64x. I can probably use that

Bells... And whistles ;D

 no spite? ;( i cri evrtim ;(

Well, I think seeing that my structure is going to be insanely large, then I may need to segment the room with flanges so that the room cuts itself up just before the maximum view range, thus preserving some of the atmosphere.  I could possibly preserve some of the atmosphere if I turn the fog into the structure's main internal colour, dark-grey.  Black could be used as well to simulate shadow, though the weather outside would have to be night-time.

The internal structure is also defined by each module's function, so that has to be kept in mind as well.

watch your ego on who should be behaving

It takes me like 10 minutes to clear the bricks in my toy store so if you're going to make something even bigger than that then clearing times will be longer.

probably because large modter doesn't clear well in large numbers and lags a ton

it's faster to just disconnect or use a destructo-wand

Destructo wand has FPS drops when clearing large stacks of modter cubes on top of each other.

clearbricks doesn't do much better
