Weeaboo used to mean those people who entrench themselves in japanese culture to make up for a lack of culture in general and end up being the people obsessed with anime, talking about how they learned japanese and how they're going to move to nippon and learn to become an anime drawer and also usually wear a fedora and post on neogaf. But because people aren't smart (like OP a-hyuck) they think that liking anime means you're a weeaboo.

It pretty much boils down to people being handicaps towards things they don't like but other people do. If you make people feel bad for liking something, then chances are you probably have a more stunted social life than the person who likes anime.

The lesson to learn from all of this is that if you have more than five posts insulting people over anime you're more annoying than actual weeaboos good job you friend

I watched anime once, I did not like it.

Just got an anime avatar and I must say even though I've never watched an anime that I'm compelled to post in a waifu thread

look at his sig too

I don't think having an avatar from an anime is worth getting called a weeb over. That's more of a word that's better left to describe their personality/actions. Your avatar is generally just something you like, something you can relate to, or something interesting in some way to you. If I set Disgust as my forum avatar, it doesn't mean I'm a die-hard Inside Out fan; it just means that I found the character from the movie interesting enough to identify myself with it.

hey that was 1 TIME

It doesn't happen often and I don't think about it at all.
I enjoy anime, though I haven't really watched any in quite a while now, but I like what I have seen and can still find entertainment in it and similar things.
So basically I'm not a weeb therefore it doesn't mean anything if someone say I am.

y'know, the japanese invented high fructose corn syrup, right? does it make you a weeb if you drink a double gulp of coke every day?
