Author Topic: How to take care of rare collectibles  (Read 2717 times)

hi guys!
i just sniped a specific item from ebay for about 40% of it's actual value
it's a 2004 drinky crow vinyl

thing is, i didn't buy it to re-sell or 'collect'. the one i bought is still unboxed and perfect, yet i really want to unbox it and pose it/mess with his eyes
i saw it on Polaris' show called Table Flip and had to get it because i love drinky crow (maybe some people have seen me wear him as avatar here before)

do you guys think it's a good idea? to put it into perspective: boxed goes for about 200$ on ebay IIRC

it's priceless if you aren't intending on getting funds from it
forget with it all you like if you don't plan on selling it
then put it on a shelf

Dust it daily, rinse weekly, polish monthly, and re-apply any paint only when needed.

the real question is why you would sell a 'rare' collectable to begin with; if its rare, it should be inherited to your children.

children please accept this gift of the always drunk-to-stuff bird
