Do they own the copyright for the specific sound effects?

pretty sure the printer sound is fairly simple and it wouldn't be hard to accidentally recreate it

i know i could recreate some blockland sounds or suitable replacements with synthesizers and stuff

I think some sounds are actually default ones that came with the torque engine.

I remember seeing a game where the opening said "made with the torque engine" and it has the alarm sound effect.
I think it was some carnival game for the wii, let me find it.

I asked Baddy a while back about After School Special and he said this:
