Author Topic: If you could make a videogame without limits what would it be v365  (Read 4837 times)

Bsically a game where it's like GTA V except the entire map is the entire north american continent, fully to scale, as in driving from one side to another (new york to LA) would take 2-3 days IRL if you non-stop drove. Except instead of GTA V, you can do whatever the forget you want. Every single car ever made would be in the game, same for airplanes, heli's, boats, trains, EVERYTHING. Every building would have an interior and indoors. You can buy any house or property in the game, like in real life. You can work like a normal person or go GTA style and blow stuff up in missions to get money. Anything and everything would be destructible, if you dropped a nuke in a town, everything would be demolished realistically. Crashing cars into buildings, you would go right into the buildings. You would be able to create your own character when you first make a save-file or play the game first time. Like how the sims would work in the character customization. You could buy any type of clothing you want. Every single weapon that has been made IRL would be avaible in this game as well. Things would have the same price as they do IRL. The game would have a massive stuff-load of cheatcodes to do whatever. There would be fast-travel when in map mode as well if the player so wished.

Basically a life simulator, but 9999 times better than GTA V in every way imaginable, huge map, everything.

Also it would have virtually no lag. 60fps no matter what system you play it on. Available on every single console or system, no lag whatsoever. The game would only cost about 40-60 dollars. The settings would have all of the essentials, Minimap, gui, graphical settings, screen settings and aspect ratio, gameplay, controls, etc etc etc.

If The Old Republic had the Jedi Academy style gameplay, instead of its MMO semi-turn based style, then it would be the best game.

Shame that sort of gameplay never exists in an MMO. It can be disguised really quite well, like in TESO, or Fallen Earth (which has a quite cool faux-fps design, and even rewards headshots), but it is never as fluid as in a singleplayer game.

I suppose you could sacrifice the MMO aspect of TOR for that, but it would be a big shame to completely lose co-op, especially as its co-op Mass Effect style dialogue system is fantastic.
I just thought of something else: RGB color selector for lightsabers and a dial to choose the saber's thickness

Ok so planetside 2 had a lot of potential but there's so many things in it that make the game just... ugh for me to play.

So if I could I would essentially "copy" the game, make the factions completely alike apart from color, maybe add another so there'd be 4 factions, make the leveling and earning currency waaaaaaaay faster (like it'd just take a full 24 hours to get basically everything instead of 2 years), remove ability to pay for anything (but for gaining money's sake make the game like $20 or something), scrap the weapons it currently has and make more distinguishable and balanced weapons, do the same with the vehicles, add in every other continent from planetside 1, add in singleplayer ai and multiplayer filling ai, and make it so that eventually one faction actually wins the whole war.

And when that eventually happens, it clears everyone's progress on their character and it starts all over with everyone on an even playing field.

A combination of Mount and Blade (also Warband and Fire 'n' Sword) and Planetside 2.

merry 2016 to celebrate let's have more ideas or something idk

spore with multiplayer

A single player version of EVE Online where everything that was handled by players is now NPC operated alongside the current NPCs.
i say single player so i dont get in trouble with using cheat engine on it. im a cheating bastard ;)

Slight bump again I just remembered another one I had.

Basically I would re-make Blur (you know the Mario Kart game with real cars). Most of it could stay the same, but I'd change a few things.

For one, a single player quick race mode. Why they never put one in is beyond me (because they basically have a multiplayer quick race mode that bots work in but you can only play it if you have 2 or more players including splitscreen areahgouehogua). I always liked racing games for their replayability in quick-races, and I would've played Blur a whole lot more if it actually had it. Bonus points if it included the neat perks you could swap out from the multiplayer too. And I can't remember if this was really in the multiplayer thing too but get rid of any and all fan challenges in-game during quick races because those things are odd to be frank.

Secondly, more types of cars in general. Hell a lot more cars, even though there's plenty already. Mainly because I want to play as a Reliant Robin in a more realistic Mario Kart game.

Lastly, more cars on the field at once! I love it when racing games go beyond the typical 8 or 12 cars. I'd say 24. And to make it more interesting when you run outta health yer out instead of just respawning.

Oh and also more tracks in general because there aren't very many.

if you die in the game your real cat dies too
dark times need not be brought back, my friend

a game like spore, but more realistic and in-depth. less "I'm a god directing the course of a species" and more "I'm me, a member of a species that is in charge, from my perspective"

and online
