I have a specific animation question. I have a list of [x,y,z] coordinates for several particles at thousands of points in time. I have no experience with animation. What programs can I use to plot these particles at their respective locations and show their motion over time in 2D or 3D? It would be ideal if I could also make there be spheres with a certain radius at these points. |

you can likely use a python script and blender to do it. sounds straightforward enough. you'd probably go about making sphere mesh objects, assigning them keyframes at regular time offsets based on your data set. |
