You mean the individual whose payment details were used suing the other individual who used them? I think that's even less likely than the other scenario.

Besides which, do we actually have any confirmation that people have been able to purchase games through other people's accounts? I haven't seen anyone claim it besides a couple of people here. Most externals reports detailing the extent of the issue seem to preclude that actually being possible.

Valve's statement confirmed it was just cached pages, and that purchasing goods was basically impossible.

So Valve just released a statement/apology for this error. I honestly think it's too little too late. This could have some serious implications as TB explained. I also find it awfully coincidental that Valve released this statement a few hours after that video was put out. Maybe that was the fire they needed to finally tell us what's going on.
