It isn't big enough to have developed a loud minority yet
I'd say it's very popular, but no one regards it as anymore than just a game because it barely has any plot or characters like undertale or fnaf

used to be this way about weebos but it sucked being angry all the time about weebs so i convinced myself i didn't care anymore and now i don't. it mostly sucked because a lot of people that would potentially be awesome friends were weebs, and i hated being around them because i was so convinced that liking anime or whatever qualifier i chose is an inherently annoying thing. pretty sure i was mean to a lot of people that didn't deserve it and that was no good!!! now i just kinda figure like, why would i voluntarily let myself be stressed out over something stupid like that? if i can catch it i definitely try to avoid falling into that kind of thing, which means sometimes i overcompensate but O well

on a related note, wouldn't this forum kinda the same deal? we're a community built around a central object of interest, just like any fandom/circlejerk/cult/whatever u wana callit. you can definitely see people around on the outside that think we're weirdos too. we're small enough that it's kinda hard to tell but i think we definitely qualify

Maybe that is why we don't see the bad side, because we turn a blind eye to it.

What about the blockand fandom

yeah any splatoon fandom would probably be roughly the equivalent of a tf2 fandom. i don't think either have the fuel or fire to create large communities like that. they don't really have a massive amount of substance to obsess over, and they probably don't attract as many kinds of players that would be there to obsess. they're good in their gameplay and people play them to play.

of course, there's always going to be a fandom for anything that becomes popular, and there are always going to be people that obsess over stuff and want to express that obsession with people that want to listen (or people that don't if they can't find a good outlet)

if you let other people control what you think of something then you're weak-minded

True, but shutting out other's opinions is also weak minded.

ban the weebs ban the weebs ban the weebs

if others people opinion is making fun of you for liking undertale it's probably okay to ignore them

It has been this way for me. As an Anti-Fandom Fan in any fandom. I hated that they bitch and complain about pointless stuff, or make fanfiction of shipping which is mostly, Homoloveual even if the character was straight. I have nothing wrong with gays but, it gets very old soon after as they had been here for a long time but we started knowing them around the 50s but, fully in the 90s. I also hate it when they make the villain or creature look cutesy rather than be sadistic and disturbing as they should have been. I hated alot of the fandoms but, it doesn't mean I agree with haters. There was a difference between Haters and, Anti Fandom Fans. There would be Anti-Fandom Fans in every fandom who despises the fandom but, never hate the franchise or, the cause of the fandom.

So, with that said, your right.

This is also true

i guess you could say that some of you are part of the anti-fandom fandom
