I might be wrong, but I think 2015 was the first year Tesco has had fewer shops than the year before. Or closed more than it built. Something like that.

[9:01:00 PM] Foxscotch: hopefully 2016 will be The Year a Giant Asteroid Crashes Into the Earth and Destroys Everything

It is also the fifth year in a row that the chain has experienced a severe loss in profits:

It's probably because American chains such as Whole Foods and Costco are expanding their locations throughout England.

-broncos will win the Super Bowl
-notre dame will win against Ohio state in the fiesta bowl
-a lot of terrorist attacks in the US, cause u know, security

it will be a lot like 2015 but with even more politics
i mean 2015 felt like 2014 but with more politics

and then 2017 will be like 2016 but less politics

in more specific news,
  • CIA still an starfish
  • the ukrainian crCIA is forever forgotten despite its still happening
  • Annoying Orange says more stupid stuff
  • clinton lies some more
  • we invent new handicapped memes
  • i will ap european history

More well known people die.

Annoying Orange ruins America.

Clinton ruins America.

Anita Sarkeesian ruins feminism even more.

CIA pulls off more bullstuff.

More people like Raccoon will pop out of nowhere.

I doubt it. Their expansion is minor.

It's more to do with the growing marketing and expansion of other British Supermarkets like Morrisons, Co-Op, Waitrose and even Sainsbury's and Asda (although Asda was bought by Walmart).

But even more important is the growth of 'lower-class' supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl, which both boast much lower prices without a great drop in quality.

If Tesco is losing to American companies it is mostly in America, where Tesco attempted to expand into but were just crushed by the existing chains.

The only European grocer chain which I can think of which has operations in America is Aldi (directly and indirectly though). I say this because Aldi itself has a few hundred stores in the US, and one prominent chain known as "Trader Joes" is a subsidiary of the Aldi group.
