I'm in community college right now but they don't have my program so I'm only piling up transfer credits.  I'm planning on going to Parkland Community College (Champaign, IL) in the fall and get my Associate's in Physical Science. From there, I may transfer to Western Illinois University in Quad Cities, IL to get my Bachelor's in Meteorology.

Jesus, you need a stuffton of luck...

After assessing my current situation over the past week, I'm finding myself less and less bonded with Hardee's. Many of the people are nice and I hope to remain in casual contact, but this whole situation is turning into a nightmare with the new assistant manager who came back. This manager was actually the one who called me to set me up with the job, so for that I'm grateful. However, she just returned like last week after being gone since my hire date and I absolutely cannot stand her.

I was so angry leaving work last night that I just drove across the street to sit in my car quietly for half an hour. I was congratulating myself for not having an aggressive disposition and hitting her in the face lol. If I can secure this job and they'll be willing to offer better pay and add more hours, I'd probably put in my two weeks notice at Hardee's and quit. Otherwise, I'm just going to work two jobs in addition to college classes.

My most recent endeavor was a Ford dealership as a porter (a guy who moves cars around, cleans trade-ins, etc). The obnoxiously enthusiastic guy showed me around, got me an application, even gave me a free 2016 Shelby GT350 poster, and then told me to fill it out and come back. He said he was sure they had positions opening and were actively hiring. I was back with the application less than 24 hours later and he took me to the hiring manager and the old guy just said that they weren't accepting applications at the moment.

Was not pleased.
