will there be a dedicated test server or will it just be online at times or what?

PROGRESS REPORT
Day 24

you have no idea how glitchy this shark is

all 50 rooms now have enemies!!! it is now almost in a playable state. just a few bug fixes, a bit here and there to pretty it up, packaging, etc! also i need to test it solo.

all rooms can now play music, if there were any.


TO-DO LIST
  • build 50 rooms and the lobby and stuff
  • figure out which weapon pack to use old school, quake-type, etc
  • create bot hole system - probably release it if it works
  • make tons of enemies using the bot holes
  • add the last of shop systems and preparations
  • add enemies for the already-completed 50 rooms
  • perhaps add music
  • -
  • start setting up so that testing can be done
  • play it 20 times to make sure it works
  • private testing
  • actually start public testing
  • -
  • construct the other 50 rooms after testing
  • finish


OTHER NOTES

music would be nice, give dungeon music

testers are needed, see if you get in

the plan right now is for a testing session to be held soon- so i need a decent amount of testers in case some cannot make it
it'll most likely be a passworded server that'll stay up for a few hours, hopefully

i don't want to have it on for too long- just long enough so i know any issues or massive screwups or concerns

When will you host in terms of time of day? I live in PST, so I'm usually late to testing sessions if they're only a couple of hours long.

gamemode is now in a refined and playable state. private testing begins soon. i'll work out the details later.

the private server would be running the gamemode "The Pit of 100 Trials". about 23 addons have been used in this so far, most of them bots and weapons.

private testing begins tonight.hopefully

all testers will receive a private message about the server password. check your inbox. or i'll tell you via steam.
the server will be using the gamemode "The Pit of 100 Trials". look for it.
it will go up at 8PM, EST.

once private testing is done and whatever changes are made, i'll figure out public testing. when that is done then i'll take it easy for a while because this takes up a lot of time, so i'll probably finish the other 50 rooms quietly. then more testing. and public testing. and when it is done i will release it!

hoo boy that was an *experience*

it was very nice watching people use "teamwork", in a decent way


although there's a lot of changes i need to make!



STATS

Hodot hosted. that is amazing. his determination in building is admirable
Akio shared his wisdom. very valuable information, actually.
Drydess proved to be a beautiful blockhead. also good with a sniper rifle.
TheBlackParrot made it past level 50. machine gunner represent.
rggbnnnnn showed his persistance in conquering levels.
Visolator made a guest appearance. maybe a health mod could be cool.
Resonte sucks at using VCE and has lots of quirks to fix very soon!



i dunno about another testing session, but i hope i can arrange one!



also, does any of you know any healing weapons that can be applied to other players? for cooperative reasons!
music is always nice as well! i still would like some cool dungeon action music!
