It's not though. I commonly see people wearing streetwear who are relatively large. Either you're probably looking in the wrong place or you're only seeing the people who "normally" wear the stuff.

I've found pants especially ill fitting across most brands. I feel like the cuts they make are either for skinny people or really spread out fat people. I rarely find something that has ample room in the butt and crotch without being absurdly baggy in the legs, especially the calves.

What you want is a tapered cut.

my genetics are highly in favor of neural adaptation as opposed to hypertrophy, so i don't run into too much trouble with clothes other than:

 1. half the shirts i find in my size aren't comfortably wide enough for my shoulders. i refuse to go a size up b/c the sleeves would be too spacious and the torso would be too loose

 2. i also have a hard time finding pants that fit my crotch and fabulous ass - tapered pants definitely work against the baggy calf issue, but when i'm lucky enough to find them the price tends to be high
