security questions are very useful and serve their purpose just fine
uh, not really

most security questions are about things that are relatively easy to find through your social networking accounts
there are many far better options than asking security questions

Your only option is to wait for support.

Thats what I'm doing. It's really stuffty though.

loving Russians man

i recently had one of my origin accounts accessed by a russian
it wasn't really a hack because the account's details were already easily accessible by that origin account leak that happened a few years ago. he didn't change any of the account's details though (except for the language), so i just took it back and changed the password
i only noticed it because he bought a game.

the flaw isn't innate to the security question format as much as it is the fact that stuffty security question systems always have prebaked, easy-to-search answers and if you dont know better you can release information that'll defeat yourself

http://geekswithblogs.net/james/archive/2009/09/23/how-to-pick-a-really-good-security-question.aspx

when security questions work right they're like resistance passwords, like 'swordfish', and feasibly you can get stuffty prebaked questions to work well for you if you take the 'completely unrelated but memorable answer' route

the strength of the security question is that it's all based on your personal recollection of what borders on an inside joke or a call-and-response sequence, and a well-chosen sq can't be subverted like an email authentication system, which can get blown up if the hacker just happens to have the password to your email as well

Alright I tried getting them to contact me but it seems the only way they can is through my phone and they can't seem to get through. My phone has stuff reception here but even then it still gets calls but this isn't working.

Is there any other way I could get them to contact me? Like through text chat because I can't seem to find it or voice call via PC because I can't find it.

Got it working. EA support was great, very helpful. Account is back to normal. However my old friends list is still gone so if you want to add me my ID is beachbum111111

I've had luck with Steam Support when my Steam was taken. They simply reversed what the hacker did and I got my account back.

the exact same thing happened to me. i just had to call their tech support and they helped me out pretty quick

Same, but then again, other people have had different experiences.

I was able to changed my email and password back via emails origin sent me, however it never sent me emails about the security questions change, second email added, or name ID change.

These are the only emails I got
he also apparently bought stuff.

I talked to EA support on the phone and they said the last thing that was bought was "need for speed most wanted" which wasn't technically bought since it was on the house.

apparently there's been a string of russian hackers on origin doing the same thing (changing the security question to russian).
