Almost nobody actually counts the posts on a page before posting, and most of the time people page loss when they are post #15 and they have something they wanted to share, usually something they made or similar. Its perfectly reasonable to want to show people something you thought was interesting or something you made.

When was this announced? I don't recall seeing any mention of it before, nor have any firsthand experience with it.
Pagelossing is only annoying when the post has little content or is poor quality. Of course that is entirely subjective though.
Pagelossing in Forum Games can also be annoying as it's not always necessary, particularly in topics like YLYL. Surely most people read back when they notice a new page? I do, at least.
