Not if they have absolutely 0% chance of winning. We live in a 2 party society, like it or loving detest it. Reform needs to come from the inside, it simply doesn't have a chance on the outside. I've said it and Sandwitch said it. Its the equivalent of not voting at all.

Jill Stein is brilliant. just not for president. I think a lot of people agree with her on an idealogical level--she wants to eradicate the electoral college, repeal the patriot act, and many other provocative points candidates don't like to bring up.

--- Quote from: SeventhSandwich on June 08, 2016, 02:58:48 AM ---Also Jill Stein is a terrible candidate.

i do like that she keeps getting herself arrested protesting and delivering food to treesitters and stuff like that. i like it when someone, even someone running for a political office, isnt afraid to oppose authority.

i mean, i wouldn't vote for her. but i do like her personally.

great excerpts:

--- Quote ---Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein and vice-presidential candidate Cheri Honkala were arrested Tuesday as they attempted to enter the grounds of the presidential debate site at Hofstra University. Like other third-party candidates, Stein was blocked from participating in the debate by the Commission on Presidential Debates, which is controlled by the Republican and Democratic parties. Stein and Honkala were held for eight hours, handcuffed to chairs. As she was being arrested, Stein condemned what she called "this mock debate, this mockery of democracy."

--- Quote ---Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was arrested Wednesday morning in east Texas while attempting to bring food and Halloween candy to protesters camping out in trees to oppose the Keystone XL pipeline, according to anti-pipeline activists.

sanders is not a tribal (and hasn't been for far longer than hillary, given his civil rights work)

he's also not really that socialist despite what he claims, he's social-democratic
the difference is subtle between democratic socialism and social democracy, but the former attempts to use democratic means to abolish capitalism while the latter attempts to add social elements TO capitalism and sanders definitely falls in the latter category. even if he was socialist, that's not automatically a bad thing and i have no idea why you're acting like it is

also, while hillary may not be tribal nor socialist, she is corrupt, a liar and a criminal

obviously lol
i just wanted to point out that sanders has supported civil rights (both of race and loveuality) his entire life, even when it meant being arrested, while clinton only supported them when they became the popular thing to do among liberals. at this point i think the only reason clinton is doing so well is that during the cold war the entire populace was more or less indoctrinated to have a knee-jerk reaction to "socialism," which also explains why he does so well with younger voters
