POLITICS & DONALD Annoying Orange MEGATHREAD

Cappytaino:

The poll raises an interesting question. I really want Hillary to go to prison, but I really doubt it will happen.

It's been a public suspicion that the CF is a cover for bribery for a while now, but I don't think the public understands the reach such a scandal could have.

At this point, it's like an intricate game of Jenga. You can't get HRC without causing the whole mess to collapse. I'd wager that A LOT of the government is somehow connected to the bribery or money laundering. It isn't as simple as taking down HRC. The establishment also does not want Annoying Orange, and HRC is their only legitimate chance at maintaining the status quo.

Comey and the FBI have been pushing for an indictment, but they are not in control of the process beyond investigation and passing the information on to the DoJ with a STRONG RECOMMENDATION to indict Hillary. After that, they have no input.

My educated guess is that nothing will happen to HRC in the near future. I don't think that the FBI and DoJ can handle a scandal of this size, likely involving so much of the government. The only thing they could possibly do is chip away at the scandal bit by bit. They have to go after the little fish on the fringes of the school,  because they can't handle the big fish at the center with the resources they have.

At the end of the day, it comes down to bagging the key conspirators without causing some sort of partial or total governmental collapse. I don't think that the FBI and DoJ can do that at this point.

I don't loving want to.

Just as every american has the right to vote every american has the right to choose to not vote
there is simply no arguement you can make

DJ Charizard:

FBI just recommended that no indictment should be brought onto Clinton, but the Justice Department can do whatever they deem is just, so she COULD still get indicted but probably will not.

BassCrossMegaman1:

NO RECCOMENDATION!!!

Cappytaino:

I don't think Comey could reasonably make a recommendation considering he's walking on eggshells here. I think he tried to do as much damage to her reputation and campaign as he could with the airtime and coverage he had. I'm satisfied, but not pleased, if that makes sense. There's no way Hillary can respond to this without looking worse, but I would love a public recommendation for indictment.
