is there some kind of terrorist-test you can just do to find out if someone is a terrorist? they won't tell you because of taqiyya (and because they're not handicapped), and it's really hard to distinguish a normal person from a terrorist. you can't do that (unless they literally have a Self Delete vest on)
islam is the ONLY religion (unless you think one christian bombing an abortion clinic makes them at the same terror level as islam, which it doesn't) where that kind of wide-scale terror activity even happens, and letting in thousands of muslims is going to escalate that problem to the point where a lot of people would be scared as forget to go outside. it's already happening in germany and sweden. blocking these people from coming in is a very easy way to make sure nothing bad happens that wasn't happening before. islam is literally incompatible with western society at that kind of level. the perfect place for them to be is in the middle east like in saudi arabia, which is already 99% islamic and has lots of land for refugees to stay.
Drydess:
well you'd have to be a damn good liar to fool a good psych eval so there's your terrorist test

No, you can't swab someone's throat and test them for being a terrorist. That's unfortunate, but it's something that we have to deal with. You can't just block everything related to something you don't want because it will do a better job weeding out the bad stuff than targeting just bad things. Take for example child research sharing websites. I hope we can all pretty much agree that they shouldn't be allowed to operate. However, the correct way to prevent them from operating isn't to block all websites. It's the same issue with gun control: you can't predict with great accuracy whether or not someone is buying a rifle to kill people or to shoot at a target at a shooting range. But we don't stop everyone from getting guns.
Tezuni 2.0:
Islam in a literal interpretation is a savagely violent, inhuman ideology.
You could easily argue the same thing for Christianity, old testament considered.
Yet for some reason there's immeasurably more radicalized followers of the former group.
I would not, for the sake of remaining politically correct and un-offending, welcome any self proclaimed Muslim refugee into the country.
It's just not a risk I'm willing to take, call me selfish.
Now, an educated Muslim who speaks our language fluently, I would have no qualms with.
It's just common sense.
Drydess:
yea it is pretty damn selfish to turn away decent people who spent hard work getting them and their families across the ocean for their safety, for your safety
