Uneducated, hostile Islamist refugees simply aren't our responsibility.
Also, for our own safety? What?

for your safety
you don't want islam immigrants because you think they're automatically dangerous
also saying that they aren't your responsibility is as good as isolationism

--- Quote from: $trinick on July 28, 2016, 12:48:03 AM ---Take for example child research sharing websites. I hope we can all pretty much agree that they shouldn't be allowed to operate. However, the correct way to prevent them from operating isn't to block all websites. It's the same issue with gun control: you can't predict with great accuracy whether or not someone is buying a rifle to kill people or to shoot at a target at a shooting range. But we don't stop everyone from getting guns.

it's MUCH easier to tell a child research website from a normal website (and far easier to take down unless its on tor) than it is to tell a terrorist refugee from a normal refugee. and we're not talking about just the normal population of muslims, this is a rapid influx of muslims that have already shown themselves to be terrible for our country. gun control isn't really the same thing because it's not the guns that are the problem, it's the people who get them. you regulate the selling of guns and make sure they aren't insanely easy to get, not banning guns outright. besides, a refugee ban would only be temporary until we have a proper way to vet the refugees

It's an incredibly popular old-world religion that seems to be dominant in war-torn and/or poverty stricken areas rampant with violence, political oppression and extreme lack of education. I'd argue that if you replaced the Islamic religion with any mainstream religion in this sense and you'd see the same effect.
Sure, the koran is loving strange and has a lot of questionable things, but I don't believe for a second that this is factor alone promotes terrorism.

North Korea is an isolationist country. Barring a radicalized religious group is not even close.
