Yeah, sure he's competent but only to his own ends.
Horribly incompetent for anyone expecting a decent president.
But I think that's just par for the course this year.

I haven't been keeping pace with his views recently, but how does he differ from typical libertarian planks?

They way he differs is that he's not a libertarian and more of a termite ridden plank instead.
