Should I turn mpeg filters on or off?

My TV keeps breaking into squares with my cox digital cable. So I check the options and my MPEG/Block and Digital Noise Reduction settings are set to auto. Which explains the square stuff because it keeps changing from high to low incredibly fast.

Do I just turn off these settings completely or leave them on high?

This doesn't help bro considering how it's technically not a TV issue.

It's also a 32 inch samsung smart TV so it's not like it's a piece of stuff 90s TV.

most smart tvs detect a thing on the remote that automaticly brings up a cursor and breaks everything into tabs, or what you call "squares"

Whatever that is, that isn't causing the issue.

he's talking about static or interference type stuff, not a feature on the smart tv

its 2016 stop using a tv you hipster

in all seriousness though, you should just get a new tv.
