i've had a thought for a forwards-only time travel that isnt actually time travel: forced coma + life support for an amount of time that you wish to 'jump' forward

if time travel is real we'd assume it would obviously only work with going back in time, and if so it'd be practically a Self Delete mission as you couldn't go back.

creating the time machine for a specific purpose such as going back to do something would eliminate the need to create a time machine in the first place thus creating a paradox

the thing that confuses me about time travel is what happens to the "particles" that the time travel device appears from (like air)
