I don't see how the fact that i used profanity would excuse anything.
I probably was in the wrong in that case, as "Disrespecting moderators or admins can result in a mute, kick, or ban." was rule 10 on the server (which i didn't know at the time, since as far as i'm aware, the server never tells you to read the list of rules, or even mentions that it has one), although that's not the reason he gave for muting me (again, he literally acknowledged he did it for "no good reason other than 'i don't like him'".
Phanto isn't an admin on tezuni's server.
Regardless, none of those things are relevant to this particular case.
In this particular case, i joined a server and immediately got muted for doing literally nothing.

Again, when I say 'it never tells you to read the rules' I mean that, as far as i'm aware, nothing in the server even mentions that there's a list of rules at all.

To be frank, if there's no notice of rules it's okay if you didn't know what you did broke a rule. (excluding common sense)

i was never a fan of global behavior rules, where common sense should apply. people act like their server is so damn important and even the admin wants to use a system of documenting and time punishments to teach lessons. so users can earn their way back in.
complete bullstuff. this community is big enough to permanently remove people from playing at the blink of an eye, and the game and server wouldnt suffer for it.
if people cant act right, no one needs to help them.


game mode rules are different, there is no excuse for breaking them if you choose to not read.
granted, if modders could finish a loving mod in this day and age, you wouldnt need to rely on the honor system for it to be played right...
