Author Topic: is vaping harmful?  (Read 14728 times)

every time the "is vaping harmful?" topic of interest is brought up

Which isn't often whatsoever. Like on the down low, this exact specific topic has only been brought up maybe two or three times in blockland history, making that specific type of answer even that much more uncommon as a reply to an already uncommon topic.

Statistically speaking, vaping probably has more of a chance to give you lung cancer than the statistical probability of that specific kind of answer happening again within the next year.

you're all sheep
have you not realised that it's OXYGEN that's killing us?
oxygen slowly kills people over time
notice every single person who's died breathed oxygen?
Riddler breathed oxygen, micheal jackson breathed oxygen
it's all a loving conspiracy and you're all falling for it

There is actually some truth to this, oxygen is corrosive to an extent.

DNA, fat, proteins and pretty much everything can bond with a free-radical Oxygen molecule and can be altered.

found sci-show episode about it

I heard that vaping causes something called popcorn lung?

Yea it is, just a lesser harmful smoking.

Note that 200x safer than cigarettes is still dangerous.

Also, you'll look like a forgetwad just like real smokers. It'll probably only shorten your life by a week or three (even lower than 200x less than 14 years), but there's no reason to do it anyway.

Living in New York or San Francisco is dangerous too from the sheer amount of pollution, but people do it anyway.

It's probably about as dangerous as living in any major city. Is breathing in anything other than air bad? Yeah, probably.
In comparison to smoking a bunch of plant matter, whether it be infused with toxins or not, can leave ash in the lungs which is generally bad; water vapour and proplyene glycol (which can mostly be metabolized by the body) is probably fine. Maybe.

Thing is they haven't been around that long either. Maybe Prop.Gly. to the lungs is cancer in a little tube.
Or maybe its completely harmless. We don't know for complete sure, and it doesnt help that regulation is a little bit whacko with this new product.

As a smoking alternative though, you really cant go wrong. I'd take a strong vape over a cigarrette any loving day.
I'd be a teensy bit wary personally, If I ever got into it,  'cause the nicotine might end up being the biggest problem with it. Just have to exercise control, which is probably the biggest downfall with any addictive substance.

is the dirt brown?
the answer to that is the answer to this

you can get popcorn lung from it, so i wouldn't do it

Yes.
You get edge and cringe

The advantage to vaping nicotine if you REALLY need nicotine is that you can get controlled amounts in your mix. The most I have ever tried is 6mg and it burns like a motherforgeter, but the buzz is crazy since I haven't had that feeling before. The most I have continuously used it 3mg, because it was all that was available to me at the time. Luckily, getting addicted to nicotine at those low levels, is low. Cigarettes have between 8 to 12mg of nicotine in it, but your body absorbs about 1mg per cig. Nicotine in e-liquid is actually absorbed at a less amount, comparative to the mg content in cigarettes. This means you run a far less risk of addiction than smoking actual cigarettes.

Nonetheless, it isn't something you should injest. Addiction is generally a bad thing.

You're more likely to get it through regular cigarettes or microwaved popcorn for petes sake.
And thats if diacetyl is even the root cause.

If it was a significant problem thousands of people would be in hospitals by now because they had Orevelle Redenbachers,
