I use my brother's account for online play since he pays for playstation plus, I don't think he wants me to send friend requests to random people on the blockland forums.

If it's a PS4, the playstation plus will count for the whole system.
If it's a PS3, you don't need plus for online play.

Yup, my brother had PS+ and I didn't, I was able to play online.
