I can't really explain this, the government went to Mexico because we have stronger bonds with them, (trade, they embargoed Japan, etc.)

I embargoed Japan, and Mexico embargoing Japan doesn't matter since Japan doesn't depend on Mexico.

Generals are Generals because of the fact they don't run from a fight. Unless of course death is certain and they're outnumbered heavily.

Also it was tactically right to evacuate the government instead of letting them get captured, I don't understand what you mean by, "abandon" Can this war be moderated? I honestly can't tell who's winning or what the results are
