yes, under the conditions that i would be able to have free reign over venezuelan resources and ability to build japanese factories on venezuelan soil. the contract no longer meets the conditions so i am no longer obligated to uphold it.
japan you are one sneaky bastard

That is an obligation that you have to meet with Venezuela. Not us.

Japan is given an ultimatum: pay the rest of us or be forced to according to the terms of the contract.

brazil slams down points for dreadnoughts and cruisers, before quietly watching the Venezuela fiasco from the south

germany also supports this, as do the rest of the seaborne central powers

it's not a contract that you broke with me, it's a contract venezuela broke with me. because antilles (and the US) are invading, venezuela is no longer able to meet the conditions so i'm not paying their debt. if the casus belli against venezuela was for their debt money, then the west should have no problem backing out, in which case venezuela can meet the conditions for the contract and i will pay their debt. nothing sneaky about it.

ok then i guess japan lose and the us gets the create a friendly-like atmosphere for democratic and free market corporations!

i'm not losing anything. it was a contact that didn't go through. nothing gained, nothing lost.

ok, so our debts remain back with venezuela, who won't pay. antilles you may continue but we want our ℳℳℳ

the ottomans attempt to make subsandwichesmarines

ok, so our debts remain back with venezuela, who won't pay. antilles you may continue but we want our ℳℳℳ

we will get your marksmarksmarks

excellent

due to japan's actions, relations that had been thawing are now quite cold once more

??? i didn't do anything
i offered to pay their debt if they could give me access to their resources
they couldn't do that so it went out the window
if anything, you should be happy that i tried to get you your money back

you tried to interfere in another power's* sphere of influence, for one
for another, it's unwise to invest in a nation that's being invaded

*i'm not referring to the antillean federation

i don't care about influence, i just wanted some of their resources and i tried to do it in a way that would get the lenders back their money. if the US got their money back and the casus belli was about venezuelan debt, there should be no problem.

the casus belli against venezuela is a whole palette of smaller ones ranging from their debts to their diplomacy to their resources and a dash of antillean imperialism

the debts were needed to start the war, but their payment won't end it
