pressing enter leads to the game full-screening

i play in borderless and until recent my game has never done this, but now whenever i am trying to chat or vice versa the game fullscreens itself, keeping the resolution of my window and making the game look like stuff

i'm unsure whether it is some kind of key combination or something like that, but it's incredibly irritating as it turns the screen grey for a second and prevents you doing anything

Try pressing alt, ctrl, and shift, but not together.
If I am correct the key combination to go into full screen is Alt+Enter, so your enter key might be considered pressed for some reason.

If you're on a Mac then Command + Enter puts you into fullscreen.

alt+enter does fullscreen, but if i press it the game crashes after being in fullscreen for a second - is there any way i can simply disable the keybind or do i have to live with it it's just pointless

IIRC There was an addon released back when RTB was still up that disabled he Alt+Enter keybind. I used to have it, but not anymore.
