Author Topic: Win 10 is getting nightmode  (Read 2113 times)

are you talking about the weird Powershell stuff that nerds have been doing since release or are you being serious because

no there was actually a nightmode option

this is not new

yea this is the Powershell stuff... its not an actual """"feature"""". it doesnt even work with all windows.

theres no powershell in any of this?

it is a feature just the value to turn it on is hidden

and yes it is exactly the same thing as the OP, it's been a feature from the start, just windows didn't enable it till now.

from the post you linked yourself...?
and no it isn't an actual fleshed out feature.

and no it isnt the exact same as OP

his post sounded very dismissive when anything he has said so far is just plain wrong

my bad, I didn't read the second link, I was talking about the first one

all it does is edit a registry key, it still is the same thing just updated to have more windows.
it's like saying blockland is some hacky powershell stuff because you launch the game from the command line

That doesn't discard my point that windows is not GETTING nightmode it's just getting a fixed version

I like that you posted a link without reading it

I already use F.lux, but I'm always on the look-out for new features :)

Misread as nightmare mode and was confused because that is the default Windows user experience.

Yeah the first article was the one that I was referring to, I just googled some for articles to prove that it was not new.

it's not the same thing. this kind of feature is intended to be easier on your eyes by making the colors less contrasted, f.lux is intended to make it easier for you to sleep after using a computer because of color temperature

i didnt like the powershell dark theme as it didnt work at all for me/it did but it was really underwhelming

atleast windows is actually implementing this now, hyped for it
