Author Topic: Computer powers on then turns off a few seconds later.  (Read 643 times)

We just moved my computer to a new case, it worked JUST fine before. However now that we've moved it, it turns on for a moment then turns off. It's set to 115, the power supply is out of the box brand new and we can't find any stray screws or something to short it out.

Seems a problem with the PSU to me
That is implying
everything is plugged in all the way

is everything plugged in all the way? your ram is seated properly and everything?

make sure the wires in the case arent grounding out on something

Happened to me earlier this year. Almost shat my pants.

What I did was remove my PSU (720W on the computer) and put an 800w PSU in place that I had laying around. Booted perfectly. Removed it and put the original 720w PSU back in and booted perfectly. The cause? No clue. Try reconnecting it.
