No, my family is not broke again. In fact we're doing fine.
What I DO need money for is to go see a couple friends later this winter.
Let me explain in a short little paragraph or something:
Yesterday, I mentioned in a private Discord chat for my friends (who I've known for like 8 years now) that I've always wanted to see them at the
Holiday Matsuri, an event in Florida that happens every December. I know they go there every year because they always mention it and post their happenings there. Then, out of nowhere, another friend, MeiValentine (who is on the forums but doesn't post?), brought up the idea of buying whoever wants to come tickets AND hotel rooms, and the only thing we'd have to pay would be air fares.
Sounds simple, right? Wrong, because apparently my mother apparently thinks going alone on a airplane is illegal and that I'd somehow get her in jail for "child neglect". Keep this in mind: One of my friends will be
21 by the time the event is here, and MeiValentine will be 20 in the next couple
days. I tried over and over to convince her, but nope, and now prices are now going to be loving skyhigh because of it, and adds way too much stuff onto it. This forced me to find not only airfares, but rental cars and another loving hotel room, which is absolutely stupid insane.
I calculated. It comes to around over 1000 loving dollars. I know my family's gonna assist me in this, but it's so insanely dumb. And after that, my mother's forcing me to get my A+ certification from the class I'm in, which I can't loving study because any time I tried, I would not remember the material. I payed attention, I took notes, I took an hour just to go over the material, and literally NOTHING helped. She says 'oh if you don't do that you won't be getting your ride there' and that's some insane bullstuff, because I don't need A+ certs to fix computers. And more importantly, the only person I know who I can get a ride from lives almost 30 minutes away from my school, and would more than likely not even know the directions to there even if I gave it to them directly.
I don't know how I'm supposed to get my A+ certification in such a small amount of time I have. School ends in almost 4 weeks, with tests and everything else wrapping it up. It's nearly impossible.
I really, REALLY need to make this trip. Over these years not ONCE have I ever seen them in person. This could be my literal only chance to see them and actually interact with them outside of the screen.
If you guys know any way to get money for this, that would be helpful. I'm absolutely fluent in fixing computers software and hardware wise, I can do some pretty small audio editing (I've been paid by some of my other mother's burlesque friends to do some things like cut audio, extend it, fade outs, etc.) quickly, I can make some decent logos if you give me the time (not too complicated though), and if I took the time to, I could learn some coding and maybe do CSS or HTML.
I am not asking you guys for money -- I need to know how I can make some. Give me areas to find jobs. Give me info on how I can find them myself, how to let my presence be known to freelance and fix computers or do the other various tasks I mentioned. It would be incredibly helpful.
Blockland Forums, I need your help to make this happen. Please. For me. For my friends. You have no idea how happy this will make me if I can make this go down. It'll be the best moment of my life.
