This thread brings to mind that one South Park episode where Cartman got his own bathroom

Nope that's still what the majority wanted or it wouldn't have happened, nice try though
You mean what the majority wanted after long protest movements? Sort of like what's going on right now with LGBT rights?

The entire subtext of that episode was pretty pro-trans rights.

No not like what's going on now. The civil rights act and all that other stuff was government versus the people, this is people versus each other and while it may be close the lgbt is still the minority.

State governments trying to enforce gendered bathroom policies definitely doesn't fall under the scope of 'person-versus-person'. If people were campaigning for laws against misgendering, you might have a point.

If that happens with you, then it means you're attracted to transgendered people. You aren't suddenly no longer attracted to transgendered people just because there's none around you anymore. If that creates a dilemma for you, that's an internal conflict.
but you just said he looks and acts 200% like a girl and your brain thinks he's a girl
like are you afraid of being called gay if you're spotted with a trans girl or something?
like im not trying to say 'WOW U forgetIN TRANSFOPE KILL URSELF DUM IDIOT' it's more of just a why
i should have elaborated that differently. not as much as "falling in love" but some sort of other attraction because they are basically a female on the outside. basically wearing a mask.
and it's not an "internal conflict" its basically (idk how else i would say this) psychological play, which is why i think how we got here in the first place with this transgender movement

jeez it's weird to think of current events in that context. my kids are gonna ask me what it was like when gay marriage was legalized and i'll say "it was p alright ya."

the role of government in the civil rights era was actively advocating positive/negative civil rights policy, which is just a response to popular issues. it's the same deal today.

idk if it helps to understand (edit: and this is probably irrelevant lol) but dressing as a woman etc. is actually just treatment of someone's underlying dysphoria. it's a way to cope with the feelings they have, not the representation of them, if that makes sense

If you're aware that the person is transgendered and you're still attracted to them, it's literally just how your loveuality works. There's no reason to say that other people are causing you to feel that way.

id refer to my brown townogy here again but whatever

you whayt

The honest answer is that some young people like to compartmentalize their identities into a stuffload of different terms. It's just young exhibitionism and most of the terms mean nothing or are suitably described by preexisting words.

So in reality, there's not a whole lot of genders, just a lot of unnecessary terminology.

They suffer from Special Snowflake Syndrome

they hardly exist, just ignore them and they will disappear soon enough

yea that makes sense

the people that create all the negative image of non-binary gendered people are the people who do it for attention
most of the actual non-binary people are there they just don't come up to you and yell at you to use specific pronouns
